Admission Procedure

Admission to affiliated colleges under the University of Madras (UNOM) follows a centralized merit-based process for Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programmes. The admission process usually begins in April or May for the upcoming academic session and is conducted through the official college website.

Admission Process Timeline

1. Online Registration & Application

• Visit the College Portal: Applicants must visit the official website (thiruthangalnadarcollege.edu.in).
• Application Form: Fill the online application form with personal and academic details.
• Candidates can apply for multiple courses but must submit separate applications for each course.
• Registration Fee: Pay the registration fee through online or offline mode.
• Submission: Submit the completed application before the deadline (usually April / May for the new academic session).

2. Selection Process

• UG Admissions: Based on marks obtained in the Higher Secondary (10+2) examinations.
• PG Admissions: Based on merit in the qualifying undergraduate degree. Some courses may require an entrance examination.
• Merit List: The college will release a rank list / merit list based on marks.

3. Document Verification & Admission

• Document Submission: Shortlisted candidates must submit self-attested copies of required documents.
• Fee Payment: Pay the tuition fee and caution deposit to confirm the seat.

Important Admission Policies

• Reservation Policy: Admissions follow the reservation rules of the Government of Tamil Nadu.
• Other State / Foreign Students: Students from other states (except SC/ST) will be considered under the General Turn.
